There were over 200 reports of tornados from Thursday April 14th to the 16th as a strong storm system pummels the Midwest. 23 reports the first day as the system developed across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and southwest Missouri. Friday the 15th across eastern Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, Louisianna, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia there were another 120 reports of tornados. As the system wrapped up and moved up the east coast, another120 reports were sent into the NWS before finally exiting the US Sunday. On top of the tornado reports, there were hundreds of reports each day due to high winds and large hail. This is only the first major storm of the Spring season. If this is anything like a preview to the rest of spring, we are in for a long Spring.
