UPDATE: Grass Fire Breaks Out Northwest Of Odessa

ECTOR COUNTY -- A large grass fire broke out northwest of Odessa Monday.
This grass fire broke out around 6 PM Monday northeast of Goldsmith, and winds pushed the blaze to the east in northern Ector County and southern Andrews County. Fire crews from West Odessa, Lenorah, Goldsmith and Andrews County were on scene, fighting the blaze.
Drivers on U.S. 385 north of Odessa were advised to use caution, since there was a lot of fire and smoke in that area. The blaze did not reach the highway, and it remained open.
As of 8:15 PM Monday, the fire was close to being put out.
