MIDLAND -- Crews continue to work on an extension of Loop 250 east of Midland.

Crews been working on the northbound lanes of the Loop 250 frontage road near Business 20 (on the east end of the road) for several week. Traffic has been re-routed to the southbound lanes, with one lane going east.

That work is now almost done, and TXDOT tells Big 2 that the southbound lanes will soon close in that area for repairs. At that time, the northbound lanes will re-open, but with one lane going in each direction. Repairs on the southbound lanes should take about six weeks.

These projects are all part of a project to extend Loop 250 to Interstate 20 east of Midland. That project is more than 85 percent complete.
