MIDLAND -- Gas spilled across Loop 250 Monday, after a tractor-trailer hit a guardrail.

Jose Reyes was driving eastbound on Loop 250 Monday morning, when police say he lost control. Reyes, 46, hit a rail and sheered his gas tank. Police closed eastbound lanes on Loop 250 for several hours, but they have since been re-opened.

Reyes was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for an evaluation. Police cited him for failing to maintain a single lane.
