MIDLAND COUNTY -- Three people ended up in the hospital after a crash at F.M. 1788 and TX 191 Tuesday.

The crash all happened around 9:45 AM Tuesday. A silver Chevy pickup was heading north on F.M. 1788 when the driver stopped to make a left turn. Another silver Chevy pickup rear-ended the stopped truck.

Three people in those pickups were sent to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the second pickup -- 27-year-old T.J. Sparks -- got a ticket for following too closely. Police say he was distracted by a cell phone at the time of the crash.
