Yesterday's cold front took it's time exiting the Basin, winds gusted into the 30 mph range much of the day. Today will be much different, winds only blowing from 5 to 10 mph as temps warm a bit. Lower to middle 80's expected today before the heat really returns, Friday look for 95 and the same Saturday. An approaching cold front late Saturday will bring even more of an impact than just the heat before it, winds Friday will be gusting up to 40 mph across the Permian Basin lasting well into Saturday. Critically High Fire Danger continues to be the main concern as we stay rain free! A few clouds will cross our skies Sunday but no rain expected with this cold front.
