"Run Rock 'n Roll" to Benefit Aphasia Center

    MIDLAND -- The Aphasia Center of West Texas is preparing for its “Run, Walk n’ Roll” this weekend. The event's goal is to help raise awareness about aphasia and to raise funds for the Aphasia Center.

    Aphasia is a loss of speech and language due to a stroke or other traumatic brain injury; it is not a loss of intelligence.

    The “Run, Walk n’ Roll” is a two day event, May 13th & 14th.

    May 13th – Free concert with Eagles tribute band, "Alter Eagles" at Centennial Plaza – downtown Midland. Gates open at 6:45 pm, concert at 7:30 pm.

    May 14th – 5k Run, Benefit Walk, cycling events (A Class, B Class and Cruiser Class). 5K Run – 8:00 am, Walk – 10:00 am, Cycling Events 11:00 am.
