Yesterday marked day #7 of consecutive days over 100 degrees. My forecast today adds another to the list with 107 likely, 2 degrees above the record set 66 years ago! The heat will last even further into the 5 day forecast with triple digits into the weekend. Sunny skies and hot temperatures will take a toll on your body so do everything you can to take precautions to stay cool. This includes taking breaks, drink plenty of water, wearing sunscreen and not overdoing it outdoors. Each afternoon storms will be possible as a dryline continues to shift east and wet across the Permian Basin. Today's storms will be in the eastern counties, the rest of the week storms will move back to the west.
