As Tropical Storm Don lingers in the Gulf of Mexico,. the Permian Basin's weekend plans could take a soggy turn! Before Don arrives, plan for a hot and rather humid Friday afternoon. Temps will top out near 100 this afternoon with a few clouds also. We can't rule out an isolated storms, but most of the activity will hold west and stay in the mountains. The remnants of Tropical Storm Don will arrive late Saturday with more clouds and a slight chance for some rain. Not much is expected and will be widely scattered at best. The drought will continue through the weekend with the heat returning early next week. Triple digit highs will be back Monday!
