As high pressure slowly shifts westward, the monsoonal moisture and any chance for rain will also shift westward. This will guarantee another hot work week and first week of school.  Temperatures will top out near 100 all week under sunny skies and light winds. One great things about the school year starting is that it marks an unofficial end to the intense heat! Nights are getting longer and days are getting shorter, before you know it, we will see our first freeze! Until then be careful outdoors in this heat.
