Irene is now a Category 3 Hurricane with 115 mph winds and heading towards the Bahamas. The good news is that the Permian Basin will see no impact from Irene. The problem with that is our drought continues through the weekend with even more heat! Today temps will top out at 101, Thursday 100 followed by near triple digit heat Friday and Saturday. Sunday looks to be one of the hottest days we've had in a month, I am forecasting 105 Sunday!
