Tommy Tuberville has made the obvious official.

Seth Doege has been named the starting quarterback at Texas Tech, and it appears most of his targets at receiver are in place as well.

Senior Tramain Swindall will start at one outside receiver position, and Darrin Moore will play opposite of him. Inside receiver Alex Torres will play at the "Y" position, while Austin Zouzalik and Cornelius Douglas will share duties at "H." Offensive coordinator Neal Brown said receivers Derek Edwards and Marcus Kennard are likely to red shirt.

The offensive line also seems to be in place, but far from stable. Terry McDaniel is the only player not returning as a starter from last year. He will fill in for Justin Cowan who is out for six weeks with an injury.

It may be the most experienced side of the ball, but the offensive line is not showing the leadership Tuberville would like to see with less than two weeks to go until the season opener.

"We have no leadership right now, and we gotta couple seniors out there that need to be leading," Tuberville said. "We gotta a lot of guys that have played, and that should be an area where we should be much better."

"The standard we have for them is higher than anybody else, because all of those guys have played a lot of football," said defensive coordinator Neal Brown. "They gotta be more aggressive.
They gotta be better leaders."

The team holds its final scrimmage on Wednesday, and then takes Thursday off for the start of school.
