Thursday AM Weather 9-1-11

By: Meteorologist Trent Magill
Updated: September 1, 2011
As August wraps up, September will bring a few changes. Triple digit heat will take a brief break as our temps top out in the 90's for the next couple days. Today will be sunny and hot but nearly as hot as we top out at 96 degrees today. This trend continues through Friday and into the weekend with 97 Friday and Saturday before a cold front rolls through. Timing is still a bit uncertain but I do know clouds will increase Sunday and into Monday and temps will only be in the lower 90's the beginning of next week. As far as chances for rain, the northern Permian Basin stands the best chance as of now but stay tuned fro more info as the system gets closer.
