Expect hotter temperatures this afternoon as we hit 100 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Tomorrow the heat will stick around but not for the entire day! An approaching cold front will sweep through the Permian Basin late Wednesday night bringing gusty north winds, thick clouds and much cooler temps. Rain will stay north of us until around your Thursday AM commute as scattered storms slowly drift southward. Thursday won't be a complete washout though, look for plenty of dry time but clouds will stay thick and temps will stay on the cooler side, only 80's for highs. More scattered storms are possible later Thursday afternoon before everything clears out by Friday evening. Saturday the heat returns with highs near 90 through the weekend.
