We had a triple digit heat day Tuesday and the heat will stick around today. Temps will warm to the middle 90's this afternoon with a few passing clouds. Tonight brings changes though as a slow moving cold front sinks south into the Permian Basin.  Shortly after sunset this evening storms will enter our northern counties and build southward toward the I-20 corridor. By sunrise Thursday look for scattered storms area-wide. This is what we've been waiting for, don't expect strong winds, hail or frequent lightning but do expect heavy rain at times. Flash flooding could become a concern for your morning commute Thursday so be sure to plan ahead for a wet commute. By Friday morning skies should clear out and temps will start their climb, 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday!
