SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL -- A Midland murder suspect is behind bars -- after he spent more than a week on the run.

United States Marshals arrested Christopher Hill in Seminole County, FL on Thursday. Hill, 24, is waiting to be extradited back to Texas on murder charges.

Midland Police say hill went to Jeremy Johnson's house on September 18th and shot Johnson repeatedly.

Johnson, 28, was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital that evening, but he didn't survive. The hospital was also locked down for several hours.

Police charged Hill with murder last week, but they couldn't find him. They asked the U.S. Marshals to help them with the investigation earlier this week.

Hill's bond is set at $1 million.
