MIDLAND -- For the past 10 years Midland Memorial Hospital's Healthy U has been the premier health education and wellness expo in Midland, reaching and educating hundreds of Midlanders and visitors from surrounding communities.

Over the years, we have been privileged to touch the lives of thousands of citizens in the Permian Basin by providing free services such as cardiac risk assessments, heart disease education, mammography and bone density instruction, colorectal cancer education and much, much more.

Get a head start on your New Years resolution to improve your health and come to this years Healthy U Wellness Expo. It will be Saturday October 22nd at the Midland Horseshoe Arena.

A wide variety of screenings will be available as well as healthy food and fitness demonstrations, all for free. You can also expect lots of fun activities for the kids, great prizes and dozens of health and wellness exhibitors from across the community.

The event kicks off with the American Heart Association's Heart Walk 2011. Registration begins at 8:00 am. The health fair will open from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm.

So mark your calendars to attend Midland Memorial Hospital's 2011 Healthy U, Saturday, October 22nd at the Midland Horseshoe Arena.
