TEXAS-License plate controversy.

Two Texas law-makers are urging the state DMV to reject a vanity confederate flag license plate. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Senator Rodney Ellis want the DMV to veto the proposal and rallied against the plate with community leaders in Houston.

Jackson Lee also calling on Governor Rick Perry to derail it, saying the confederate flag is a symbol of oppression.  Texas Land Commissioner, Jerry Patterson sponsored this plate proposal for the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Approval for the group's plate given the green light in 9 states, this will be the DMV's second vote on the plate in Texas.
