SAN ANTONIO -- Four United States soldiers were awarded the Purple Heart this week.

Three of the wounded soldiers were wounded in separate attacks in Afghanistan earlier in the year. The Forth soldier, a military police officer, was wounded while serving in Iraq.

Sergeant Christopher Sprague, one of the men receiving the honor, says he's praying for his fellow soldiers who are still overseas. He is also looking forward to their homecoming, after President Obama announced that nearly all US troops would be back from Iraq by the end of the year.

The ceremony took place at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
