The Odessa City Council considered a texting while driving ban earlier this week. But the proposal couldn't even get seconded, and the proposal died -- leaving some supporters storming out of the meeting.
The City of Midland is also considered a ban, but would what happened in Odessa have them changing their mind?
"I think ignoring it is the wrong thing to do," Midland Mayor Wes Perry told Big 2. "So lets bring it to the council, let's talk about it, let's discuss it. It has to have some of a component with it for education I believe. It's gotta be bigger then just texting while driving."
Odessa didn't advance the proposal because they were worried it would be impossible to enforce it.
