Christmas Tree Tax Trashed

WASHINGTON, D.C.- After public outrage, a planned Christmas tree tax has been put on hold.
The agriculture department suggested a 15 cent tax on fresh-cut Christmas trees. The Obama Administration says this was a suggestion from the National Christmas Tree Association.
The money would fund a new board to promote fresh-cut trees; which have seen a decline in popularity as the sale of artificial trees has increased over the past few years.
