Al-Qaeda Claims Responsibility For Iraq Bombings

The blasts Thursday morning killed nearly 70 people and injured over 200.
Half a dozen roadside bombs and six car bombs exploded within two hours. They targeted residential, commercial and government areas.
Al-Qaeda says the attacks were done in support of Iraq's minority Sunni Muslims.
The Shiite Muslims dominate Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's government.
Violence has exploded since U.S. forces exited the country.
Vice President Joe Biden spoke with al-Maliki over the weekend. He's trying to help stabilize the country's tenuous democracy.
