TAYLOR COUNTY -- Two suspects believed to have killed an employee during a robbery at a Lubbock restaurant Monday were arrested in Taylor County late Tuesday.
Local authorities stopped a gold Chevy Tahoe at the Highway 351 exit of eastbound Interstate 20. The vehicle was spotted by a Tye police officer. The Taylor County Sheriff's Office and Texas DPS assisted in the arrests.
The men were believed to have stormed into One Guy from Italy restaurant in Lubbock to rob the place. After not being able to get money from the register, the suspects grabbed a tip jar. On the way out, the gunmen allegedly opened fire on David Rowser, 26. He later died at a hospital.
The suspects were described as Hispanic males in their early 20's with buzz cuts, approximately 5'10" to 6' and thin.
An email from a Taylor County Sheriff's spokesman said the men were considered capital murder suspects.
