LOS ANGELES -- Over the long weekend the Los Angeles Fire Department battled a string of over fifty fires.

Los Angeles police believe an arsonist to be behind the fires in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. In almost every case, the blazes started in parked car or truck.

On Saturday morning at least thirteen new fires were set early in the morning. Officials are trying to determine if they are connected to the 21 intentional fires set Friday.

Police are reviewing surveillance video to try and identify a person of interest as a possible suspect. The man had been spotted at the scene of several of the fires.

A $60,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the capture of those responsible for setting Friday's fires in the Hollywood and West Hollywood areas.

As of Monday morning at least eight new fires were set.
