Race organizers in El Paso say more than eleven-thousand people took part in Sunday's race and walk for breast cancer research.
That's about on par with the 11,500 participants in last year's El Paso event.
Sunday's race was the foundation's first event since sparking controversy this month by announcing it would cut funding to Planned Parenthood.
The move arose from the foundation's new policy banning funding to groups under investigation.
The foundation later reversed course and restored that funding.
