IRAAN -- John Fellows had what would be considered a very successful football career at Iraan. Despite that, Fellows is no longer the head coach for the Braves.

The Odessa American reports Fellows has been relieved of his duties as Iraan head football coach and athletic director for Iraan-Sheffield ISD. He has been reassigned to a position within the National Guard Challenge Academy.

In five seasons with the Braves, Fellows had an overall record of 47-15. That included three outright district championships and two shared.

There is no explanation quite yet has to why the decision to reassign Fellows was made.

KMID tried to contact Iraan-Sheffield ISD, but calls were not returned.
