Jenne Anderson joined the Big Two Newsteam in January 2012 and couldn't be more thrilled to be here! As a Pennsylvania native Jenn claims the East as her home, but says her heart belongs in the West were she went to school (So West Texas already feels like home!). She recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
While in school she reported, anchored, and produced for BYU Eleven News. She also tried her hand in the radio world as a morning radio reporter for Classical 89.
In 2011 Jenne interned for CBS Weekend News in New York City. While living in the Big Apple she covered world breaking stories including, the death of Osama Bin Laden; the Joplin Tornadoes; and the IMF Scandal with Dominique Straus Kahn. She also said goodbye to Katie Couric before she stepped down from her anchor spot, and passed the chair onto Scott Pelley.
Jenne was recently awarded a Gracie Allen Award for best reporter, as well as a Broadcast Education Association Award for best feature story. She was also a national finalist for the Society of Professional Journalists for a feature piece she did on stage makeup.
When she's not being a news junkie, Jenne enjoys spending time with her husband, running, watching movies, and traveling.
