By: Karl Rundgren
Updated: August 20, 2012
Reagan County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Mitchell started working for the department when he was in high school. After going to the Concho Valley Regional Law Enforcement Academy, he joined full time in 2008.
Tragically, Mitchell lost his life when he was shot during a routine call, checking on someone's welfare.
Mitchell is mourned by his wife, Jill Matthews Mitchell, his mother, grandparents and sisters, as well as his fellow deputies and the people of Reagan County that he served so faithfully.
