ODESSA -- The Bronchos are getting ready to begin their season Friday night at Ratliff Stadium against Amarillo.

OHS traveled to Lubbock County on Friday to scrimmage with Frenship, but that game was called off in the first quarter due to rain. With the limited amount of play time, Odessa head coach Ron King knows his team has a lot of work before the opening kick off.

"Playing Amarillo; they play a smash mouth type of football; it's a physical type of football," said King."They run the wing-T, and they do a great job of controlling the football. Defensively you've got to do a great job of getting them off schedule, and to get a lot of 3 and outs, or they'll just eat up the clock the whole game."
