Jeremiah Dwight Gaither was sentenced to 8 years in prison on September 5th, after he pleaded guilty to felony charges for possession of a controlled substance. He'll also have to pay a $2,500 fine.
Since Gaither has already served a year behind bars, he'll serve an additional 7 years as part of his sentence.
According to The Lamesa Press-Reporter, law enforcement found between 1 and 4 grams of cocaine and $4,500 cash in Gaither's vehicle while he was driving through Dawson County on July 2, 2011.
Gaither reportedly faced a higher sentence because he's been convicted of felony drug charges in Lubbock County 3 times.
