ODESSA -- The Bronchos enter Friday's crosstown showdown with the same record as Permian at 0-2.

Odessa high is coming off a 31-19 loss on the road to Lubbock Monterrey, where the Bronchos gave up a 14 point lead before they even touched the ball. This is the second straight week this has happened.

Not taking advantage of early opportunities is something head coach Ron King said his team needs to improve on.

"They gave us a ton of opportunities on offense to try and win the game, and we had every opportunity to win the game, we just weren't able to take advantage and capitalize on the opportunities that they gave us," King said. They (Odessa) did everything we asked of them, they kept competing and hopefully that will carry over into this next week."
