Gaines Pleased With Team's Win Over Odessa

ODESSA -- It's hard to find a better way to get your first district win of the season than by beating your arch rival.
The Permian Panthers did just that on Friday.
The Mojo annihilated the Odessa Bronchos with a 45-6 win. It was a much needed victory for a Permian team that was winless going into the third week of play.
Quarterback Jack Wilkins led the way, throwing for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Permian was lights out, keeping it a scoreless game until late in the third.
Overall, it was a pleasing performance for head coach Gary Gaines.
