MIDLAND -- Reel Thanx  gearing up for their 3rd annual fishing tournament at Lake Amistad on September 22nd. The tournament raises money for Reel Thanx which takes wounded soldiers on an all-expense paid fishing trip at Lake Amistad.  The organization takes 4 groups of 6 soldiers every year.

The sister organization of Reel Thanx, Reel Wives, is getting ready for their "Reel Wives Appreciation Weekend" honoring the wives of wounded soldiers. The weekend is scheduled for September 27-30th!  The Reel Wives organization treats 12 wives a year to a weekend of eating out, shopping, spa treatments, game night, limo, nice dinners, etc. The group wants the wives to focus just one weekend on themselves, for some emotional healing.  Reel Wives fund raises all year long to make this happen. It's an all-expense free pampering weekend for these wives!

Visit www.reelthanx.org for more information on Reel Thanx and Reel Wives and how to donate.
