ANDREWS -- What's better than the sound of pump jacks thumping around in an open West Texas desert? How about the sound of three live rock bands playing in Andrews, TX!

If you enjoy live music then Andrews may be the place for you! On Thursday, September 27, 2012, Christian rock band Seventh Day Slumber will be performing at the Andrews County Expo Arena for the Small Town America Tour 2012. This will be their first appearance in town and the only place in Texas to find this tour! The concert will also feature special guests The Beautiful Refrain and Blank Pages.

Proceeds from this concert will benefit the local Christian organization, What Yeshua Can Do. The mission of What Yeshua Can Do is to build a campground just south of Ozona, TX, that will provide a Christian atmosphere for underprivileged youth. The goal is to give back to the community by bringing in more Christian bands and hopefully generate enough revenue to help make this vision a reality. This concert is open to the public and is an all-ages event.

Seventh Day Slumber is a national Dove Award winning band that has had music on the radio airwaves for over five years. With popular songs such as "Caroline" and "Missing Pages," the audience will surely be captivated by the strong lyrics and positive message Seventh Day Slumber will deliver. This night will be full of fun, praise, worship and rock music! If you are looking for a fun activity for your youth group, church family, friend or coworker, the Small Town America Tour may be the place for you. This will be the first of several planned concerts to come to Andrews. It will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will continue until 9:30 p.m.

The Andrews County Expo Arena is located just off of Highway 176 in Andrews County. Tickets can be purchased online for $10 at Itickets.com or at the door for $15.

The goal of What Yeshua Can Do is to reach our youth by sharing the love of Jesus Christ. As the Small Town America Tour makes way to Andrews, locals can expect to get a concert full of energy, excitement and good music that speaks straight to the heart. The Small Town America Tour 2012 is just around the corner and is sure to bring sheer joy to the Permian Basin!
