HOUSTON -- A man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in Houston and then dumping her body in a Midland County oil field reportedly recorded his story for a TV show days before his arrest.

Houston Police say Mark Castellano taped an interview about the case on the Dr. Phil show, just days before he confessed to the crime.

Castellano, 37, is accused of murdering 31-year-old Michelle Warner in Houston on September 22nd.

The computer technician then reportedly drove to West Texas and dumped Warner's body in an oil field.

During his confession, Castellano reportedly told law enforcement where he dumped Warner's body.

Midland County Sheriff's deputies found Warner's body in an oil field near South County Road 1200 and West County Road 150 on the morning of October 1st.

Castellano has been charged with murder for the incident.

KTRK-TV in Houston reports that Castellano made his first court appearance in Houston overnight.
