Teen Drinking And Driving Down

By: Big 2 News Staff
Updated: October 3, 2012
A new report says there are fewer teens drinking and driving than there were 20 years ago.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the findings Tuesday.

It says 10% of high schools students 16 and older admitted to drinking and driving last year.

In 19-91, that number was 22%.

Why the decline?

The report attributed it partly to all US states raising the minimum drinking age to 21 and zero tolerance laws for teens caught drinking and driving.
