ODESSA -- A Waco teen is accused of shooting another teen at an Odessa hotel parking lot.

Willie Earl Solomon II was arrested around 2 AM Wednesday.

Odessa Police say Solomon, 18, shot Curtis Johnson in the upper right arm at the M.C.M. Elegante Hotel parking lot near East University Boulevard and East Loop 338 on the evening of October 2nd.

Officers found Johnson, 18, lying in the parking lot around 8:30 PM on October 2nd.

Johnson was rushed to Medical Center Hospital after the shooting.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Johnson was listed in critical condition at M.C.H.

After a quick investigation, officers were able to identify Solomon as the suspect.

Officers were able to arrest Solomon -- a Waco native who now lives in Odessa -- immediately due to outstanding warrants on his record.

Now, Solomon is charged with felony aggravated assault -- along with previous outstanding charges for terroristic threats and a parole violation.

As of Wednesday evening, Solomon was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center without bond.

Police also say the weapon used in the shooting had been reported as stolen out of Wichita Falls. The weapon has been recovered.

Police are still working to interview witnesses from the incident. Anyone with information on this incident should call Odessa Police at (432) 333-3641 or Odessa Crimestoppers at (432) 333-TIPS (8477).

Here is a release on the incident from Odessa Police (sent before Solomon's arrest):
