Waco Teen Arrested After Odessa Hotel Parking Lot Shooting

Willie Earl Solomon II was arrested around 2 AM Wednesday.
Odessa Police say Solomon, 18, shot Curtis Johnson in the upper right arm at the M.C.M. Elegante Hotel parking lot near East University Boulevard and East Loop 338 on the evening of October 2nd.
Officers found Johnson, 18, lying in the parking lot around 8:30 PM on October 2nd.
Johnson was rushed to Medical Center Hospital after the shooting.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Johnson was listed in critical condition at M.C.H.
After a quick investigation, officers were able to identify Solomon as the suspect.
Officers were able to arrest Solomon -- a Waco native who now lives in Odessa -- immediately due to outstanding warrants on his record.
Now, Solomon is charged with felony aggravated assault -- along with previous outstanding charges for terroristic threats and a parole violation.
As of Wednesday evening, Solomon was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
Police also say the weapon used in the shooting had been reported as stolen out of Wichita Falls. The weapon has been recovered.

An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with the overnight shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the MCM Elegante Hotel, 5200 East University. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant charging Wille Earl Solomon II, date of birth, 01/08/1994, with aggravated assault, felony 2nd degree.
The weapon used in the assault was reported stolen out of Wichita Falls and has been recovered. Solomon is currently held at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on an outstanding warrant for parole violation.
