Are you on Facebook?

That makes you one in a billion!

The world's largest social network announced this morning it has exceeded one billion users.

That means about one out of every seven people on the planet has a Facebook account!

It took Facebook six years to reach the 500-million user mark, and less than two years to double that.

Most of the newer users live outside North America, where growth has leveled off.

The next big potential target for Facebook: China, which blocks the site from its citizens.

Facebook's most recent investor report said the company continues to evaluate ways to enter China.
