ODESSA-- Students at Barbara Jordan Elementary planted trees on Friday in honor of Arbor Day.

The Odessa Parks and Recreation Department shared their skills and knowledge with the students in order to help spread the word on the importance of saving the environment and water conservation.

Students prepared presentations and even participated in planting trees.

"It's about our future" is the theme to encourage and promote youth to help make a long-lasting and beautiful community.
