FORT STOCKTON -- A Fort Stockton man will spend the next 20 years in a Texas prison for stabbing a homeless man to death.

Dustin Allen Horton was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to murder charges last week.

Horton, 24, was arrested on August 3, 2011 -- after he admitted to Fort Stockton Police that he had killed someone.

Police found the victim's body at the Fort Stockton Landfill, and they say he had been stabbed to death.

Police had trouble identifying the victim, but they say he was an elderly homeless man who used to hang out near Fort Stockton convenience stores.
