Deputies arrested Naomi Villegas Juarez on October 4th.
Juarez, 37, is accused of murdering Alfredo Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was found dead near mile marker 4 of NM 457 on April 6, 2011.
Deputies say Gonzalez' hands and feet had been bound, and he had also been duct taped.
Gonzalez apparently died after someone shot him in the head twice.
The case went cold for more than a year after the shooting.
However, deputies say a witness came forward on September 13th -- saying that they heard Juarez talking about details of the killing on the phone on at least 2 different occasions.
Surveillance video from an A.T.M. at the Lea County state bank in Lovington, NM -- which was taken after the incident -- also reportedly matched up with Juarez's photo.
After the witness came forward, deputies moved to arrest Juarez.
Now, Juarez is charged with murder.
As of Tuesday, Juarez was being held in the Lea County Detention Center on $1 million bond.
