The Permian Basin Networking Meeting -- which was hosted by Workforce Solutions and 2-1-1 Texas -- took place at the True Lite Christian Church in Midland Tuesday.
More than 30 West Texas organizations and agencies came together to address employment and housing barriers, in order to help families attain self-sufficiency.
"We're all working pretty much with the same customers -- the same customer base," Cheryl Mitchell Green of Workforce Solutions told Big 2. "We're just wanting to eliminate barriers to employment and self sufficiency as we can."
Organizers say Tuesday's meeting was the first Permian Basin Networking Meeting, but they hope it's not the last.
