Van Horn Woman Killed In Crash Near Valentine

JEFF DAVIS COUNTY -- A Van Horn woman dies after rolling her pickup truck over in Jeff Davis County.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers tell Big 2 that Carole Jordan Fitzgerald was driving west on U.S. 90 in a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban around 12:55 PM on October 7th when the pickup truck veered off the north side of the roadway about 5.5 miles east of Valentine.
Troopers say that the pickup truck reportedly hit a culvert, went airborne, rolled over, and landed upright on the unimproved portion of the highway.
Fitzgerald, 75, was rushed to University Medical Center in El Paso after the crash, but she died around 2 PM on October 8th.
Troopers say Fitzgerald was wearing her seat belt.
No one else was involved in the crash.
