MIDLAND -- Sharing the top spot in the conference just wasn't enough for the Lady Chaps.

Both Midland College and Western Texas College entered Wednesday night's volleyball game with 4-1 records and a share of first place. Sole possession of the top spot would belong to the winner.

The Lady Chaps got off to a slow start, but after dropping the first game, MC forced five games to get the win, 3-2.

Midland is now 5-1 in WJCAC play.
