MIDLAND -- It's that time of year again for the Texas Size Garage Sale for Meals On Wheels. Despite economic boom, hunger/food insecurity continues, especially for homebound elderly. Meals On Wheels volunteers package and deliver nearly 500 hot wholesome lunches each weekday. The Texas Sized Garage Sale supports roughly 40,000 of the 130,000 meals delivered annually. This is the 23rd year for Midlanders to provide items for the sale.  40 volunteers work year-round to sort, price and prepare items for the event. Volunteers are still needed for the event, especially as cashiers and loading heavy purchases.
