MIDLAND -- The Tall City's fire chief could soon be moving on to head a Metroplex fire department.

Midland Fire Chief Robert Isbell tells Big 2 that he's a candidate to become the next fire chief in Plano.

Isbell -- a Plano native -- joined the Midland Fire Department in December 2010.

Before coming to the Tall City, Isbell served as Fire Chief in Euless.

Isbell was also named as the President of the Texas Fire Chief's Association in January.

Isbell is reportedly one of three candidates being interviewed for the job in Plano.
