MIDLAND COUNTY -- A work crew accidentally causes a gas leak in Midland County.

Workers on the scene of the leak tell Big 2 that an American Boulder work crew hit a pipe along South County Road 1096 near Greenwood around 2:45 PM Thursday, sending gas leaking across the area.

There were reports that some of the gas that leaked was deadly H2S gas, although officials didn't specify which type of gas was leaking.

Luckily, work crews were able to clear the scene safely.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Midland firefighters and Greenwood volunteer firefighters were able to stop the leak and clean everything up by 3:30 PM Thursday.
