ODESSA -- An Odessa man has been arrested, after he was in a vehicle that led police on a high speed chase.

Kyle Jacob Armer was arrested around 9:30 PM on October 12th.

Odessa Police say Armer, 22, was a passenger in a red Lincoln Aviator on October 13th.

Officers had been looking for the Aviator, since a man reportedly got into the vehicle after firing several rounds at his girlfriend at a home in the 400 block of Snyder Street around 8:45 PM on October 13th

The victim -- who was not injured -- was reportedly at the home to retrieve clothes when she was shot at.

Meanwhile, officers tried to pull over the Aviator that Armer was in, the driver reportedly kept going, and a chase ensued.

The chase ended in the 2400 block of Carrizo Avenue in south Ector County -- and both the driver and Armer reportedly ran into a pasture.

Armer quickly surrendered to the officers chasing him, and he was taken into custody.

Now, Armer is charged with misdemeanor evading arrest and an unrelated traffic warrant.

As of Monday, Armer wasn't listed in jail records at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

Meanwhile, officers say they know who the driver of the Aviator is, but they have yet to locate that person.

Police have not said which occupant of the vehicle might have been connected to the earlier shooting.

The investigation into the incident continued Monday, and further details were not available.
