KENDALL COUNTY -- Texas Department of Public Safety troopers have released the names of 3 people who were killed when a Midland-based helicopter flight crashed in Central Texas last week.

D.P.S. troopers tell Big 2 that Chester Monroe of Seguin was flying a 4-passener Robinson R-44 helicopter from Midland to Seguin on the night of October 11th, when the helicopter crashed near the intersection of Ranch Road 1888 and F.M. 1376 in northeastern Kendall County.

Monroe, 35,  was killed in the crash.

Both passengers on the helicopter -- 26-year-old Rusty Aaron of Decatur, and 29-year-old Kaci Fairchild of Harwood -- also died in the crash.

D.P.S. troopers and Federal Aviation Administration officials are still trying to figure out what caused the helicopter to go down.
