The process of freezing a woman's eggs may be considered experimental by some, but that's not the case anymore for the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

The society says high success rates and improved technology has led it to strip away the "experimental" label from egg freezing.

But the group of fertility doctors says that decision should not be taken as an endorsement for women without fertility issues to undergo the process.

Egg freezing is typically recommended for patients with medical conditions that put their fertility in jeopardy.
